I’m a lifetime resident of Oregon and have developed a new passion in recent years for all things historic. This includes discovering historical markers, historic buildings or sites, visiting communities with lots of rich history, touring old cemeteries, and looking for survey marks (benchmarks). My passion takes me to places throughout Oregon and other parts of the West Coast. I enjoy marking the GPS coordinates of a particular location or point of interest then researching the site’s history. I am a contributing member of Waymarking.com and enjoy submitting writeups on the website for others to enjoy and maybe learn a little more history about the area.
